‘70s Taiwanese Idol Chin Han, 76, Spotted Playing Basketball, Netizens Shocked By How Frail He Looks
Celeb sighting alert. Taiwanese actor Chin Han (not to be confused for his Singaporean actor namesake, who’s making major moves in Hollywood) has been spotted playing basketball in a random basketball court over in Taiwan earlier this week.
However, unlike Hongkong star Angie Chiu, 67, Chin Han wasn’t there for a photoshoot. Instead, the 76-year-old was purely there to play ball.
Dressed in a white singlet, with a beanie and mask on, the actor, who once captured the hearts of everyone with his gentle and handsome demeanour, looked like any other retiree out there, to the dismay of some netizens.
Hey, he's staying active, okay?
Some wrote that Chin Han looked really frail and old, and a couple even wondered if the actor was even strong enough to play basketball, as he looked “too thin and weak”.
Other netizens, however, spoke up for Chin Han, sharing that the actor, who faded out of the spotlight in the ‘90s, can’t be expected to look young forever. After all, he is 76.
What say you?
Chin Han was a legit star.
Chin Han rose to fame in 1970s, and starred in multiple classic hits, most of which were adaptations of Taiwanese romance novelist Chiung Yao’s works.
Chin Han was most often seen starring in these works alongside fellow stars Lin Ching Hsia, 67, Charlie Chin, 74, and Joan Lin, 69.

Together, the quartet was often referred to as the “Double Chins and Lins”, and enjoyed superstar status.
Some of the more iconic films that Chin Han starred in included 1973’s Outside the Window, and 1975’s Eight Hundred Heroes.
