Ballerina trailer: Money Heist: Korea — Joint Economic Area’s Jeon Jong-Seo channels John Wick in stylish revenge thriller

Revenge is a dish best served cold, so they say. But sometimes, it’s better served with hot lead.

Expect the latter in Netflix’s Ballerina, which drops on Oct 6, a day after its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival (Oct 4-13).

Shoot to thrill: Jeon Jong-Seo has some time to kill.

Jeon Jong-Seo (The Burning, Money Heist: Korea — Joint Economic Area) stars as Okju, a former bodyguard who seeks vengeance on the douchebag (Kim Ji-Hoon) responsible for her ballerina BFF’s (Park Yoo-Rim) death.

Directed by Lee Chung-Hyun, who made the 2020 timeline-switching serial killer thriller The Call with Jeon, Ballerina promises to be stylishly violent, and packed with gonzo sequences.

Ballerina is not to be confused with the upcoming John Wick spin-off starring Ana de Arma that’s also called Ballerina. The only things the two movies have in common are ballet, bullets, and blood.
