Here's the good news: Eateries and attractions in Singapore have started rolling out attractive promotions in order to drum up biz. Below, we've compiled a list of the best one-for-one deals to make your dates great again.
Even better news: Everything featured here costs less than $25 per person. So if you think a staycation is way out of your budget, this list is for you.
The Night Safari, which is reopening tomorrow (July 30), is now offering 50 per cent off admission ticket for local residents.
Just like the other attractions under Wildlife Reserves Singapore, including Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo and River Safari, visitors are required to book tickets online before heading down.
In order to score the discount, all you have to do is to key in the promo code “NSWILD50OFF” at checkout. Tickets must be purchased from now till July 31, and they're only valid for visits until Oct 31.

An entire day of splashing fun and reliving childhood memories for only $12? Sign us up, now. The Downtown East water theme park has launched a one-for-one promo on its day passes, which we discovered by scanning a ‘secret’ QR code in this year’s NDP pack (the link is not openly available on its website, but you'll find it below since we’re so nice).
The catch? You can only redeem this deal when you flash the voucher physically at the Wild Wild Wet ticketing counter on the day of your outing, which has to fall between Aug 1 to 31.
1 Pasir Ris Cl, Singapore 519599. Tickets start from $24 for adults and $18 for kids (before discount). Opening hours: Thur-Mon at 12pm-6pm. More info at https://www.wildwildwet.com/ndp2020.

For the entire month of August, Cathay Cineplexes will be offering one-for-one movie tickets at all of their box offices for the first 800 movie-goers on weekends. This means you only fork out around $13 to $14.50 for two tix for any session on Saturdays and Sundays, which we think is super worth it.
As the promo is not valid for online bookings, you’ll have to chiong down to the cinema bright and early and pay with your PAssion POSB Debit Card if you want to secure the deal. Just remember to keep a safe distance of at least 1m from other people in line.

Pay only $21 per person for a jaunt at the wax museum’s 5-in-1 experience, which usually consists of entry to Madame Tussauds Singapore, the Ultimate Film Star Experience, the Spirit of Singapore boat ride, Images of Singapore LIVE, and the Marvel 4D Experience. That said, the Marvel attraction is temporarily suspended at the moment, but it's still a pretty good deal for this 4-in-1 experience, we say. Promotion is valid until further notice.
