Billionaire Alvin Chau’s Wife Reportedly Preparing Lawsuit To Retrieve Assets He Gave To Ex Mistress Mandy Lieu
When you’re dating a billionaire tycoon, you can probably expect to receive some pretty epic gifts, which is precisely what happened to Malaysian-American model-actress Mandy Lieu when she was seeing Alvin Chau, the CEO of Macau’s largest casino junket operator Suncity Group.
Alvin, 47, was said to have lavished Mandy, 36, with many pricey presents while they were together, including a luxury apartment in the Mid-Levels area with a market value of HK$120mil (S$21.1mil) and lots of expensive jewellery.
His generosity didn’t end even when their affair did — Alvin, who is married to entrepreneur Heidi Chan, reportedly gave Mandy a HK$300mil (S$52.6mil) ‘break-up fee’ when they split in 2019, but it looks like Heidi may be fighting to reclaim what she believes rightfully belongs to her.

Mandy and Alvin had four children together
After Alvin was arrested over his alleged ties to an illegal cross-border gambling and money-laundering syndicate last month, Heidi reportedly engaged a team of lawyers to see if she can get back the millions of dollars’ worth of assets that he had given to Mandy.
This includes the aforementioned Mid-Levels apartment, which the latter purportedly mortgaged just weeks before Alvin was taken into custody, although it’s unclear whether her actions had anything to do with the charges against him.
In any case, Heidi’s lawyers are tasked with investigating all the properties owned by Mandy in Hongkong and abroad to determine if there’s proof that they actually belong to Alvin, which will greatly help Heidi in her lawsuit to retrieve them since she’s the one legally married to him.
Mandy, who is now based in England with her and Alvin’s four children, bought a sprawling estate in Hampshire for £28mil (S$50.5mil) last year, so we wouldn’t be surprised if Heidi has that looked into as well.

Heidi’s not playing around
This isn’t the first time Heidi has had Mandy’s life put under a microscope.
According to a “close friend”, Heidi once consulted a well-known fengshui master in an attempt to stop her husband’s extramarital relationship (guess you could say it really did work in the end).
Since the fengshui master had numerous connections across Southeast Asia, he was able to obtain all kinds of information about Mandy, her parents, and even her grandparents in Malaysia.
Well, you know what they say: Know thy enemy.

Yup, we definitely wouldn’t wanna mess with her
