Chai Chee western food stall sells crispy fried chicken wings at just $1 each

With rising food costs these days, finding snacks at wallet-friendly prices is a win. Like $1 fried chicken wings, which you can get from a Chai Chee Road hawker stall called Crispy Wings Western Delights.

“Wings so good, you’ll think you’re flying”

Emblazoned on the signboard at the stall, which is located in a freshly-renovated coffeeshop, is this cute tagline: “Wings so good, you’ll think you’re flying”. Netizen Justin Lim, who patronised the stall and posted about his meal on Facebook group Can Eat! Hawker Food, tells 8days.sg that it was “one of the best out there, value for money for sure”.

There’s a caveat, though

But you can’t just show up at the stall and tapow say, 100 chicken wings for your house party. In order to buy the wings at $1 a piece, you will have to first order at least one main dish. Prices start from $6.90 for a plate of chicken chop with your choice of fries, rice or spaghetti. The priciest main costs $12.90 for a whole fried spring chicken.

Limited to 10 pieces per pax

Each customer is also limited to a maximum of 10 wings with every purchase of a main, or buy the wings a la carte at $1.50 each. So if you want more $1 wings, you will have to buy more mains. Sounds fair?

Black Pepper Chicken Chop with Aglio Olio, $7.50

Crispy Wings also offers a selection of pasta dishes like aglio olio and carbonara, all at $7.50. Each plate comes with your choice of chicken chop or grilled fish, like this Black Pepper Chicken Chop with Aglio Olio combination. You can also top up $1 for a sunny side up egg, or $3.90 for additional cheese fries.

Crispy Wings Western Delights is at 26A Chai Chee Rd, S461026.
