Chantalle Ng Forgot She Left Her Car At Mediacorp; Took The MRT Late At Night To Retrieve It
The actress had completely forgotten that she’d driven to work in the morning.
We’ve all experienced that ‘oh damn’ moment, when we realise that we’d forgotten something that was important, and had to scramble to make things right again.
Well, just yesterday, Chantalle Ng had her very own ‘oh damn’ moment when she realised that she’d forgotten something really big. Like, her car kinda big.
At 9m last night (July 12), Chantalle revealed on her IG Stories that she had left her car at Mediacorp.
According to the actress, she’d driven to work that morning, but by the time she knocked off for the day, it had totally slipped her mind.
In fact, she had even waited for an hour for a Grab ride to go home since it was peak hour in the evening.
It was only when she reached home, that she realised her car was still in the Mediacorp carpark.
Normally, it’d be fine to just park overnight at the company, before heading down the next day right? However, there was one very inconvenient truth — Chantalle needed the car early the next morning. That meant the actress had no choice but to return to Mediacorp just to retrieve her car.
And so, mere hours (or minutes, even), after arriving home, Chantalle found herself making plans to head back to Mediacorp.
There was just one pickle: it was raining and Grab fares had surged again.
So, like every celeb armed with legions of Instagram followers, Chantalle created an IG poll, asking if she should pay for an expensive Grab ride, or take a one-hour journey on public transport back to the office.
Spoiler alert — she took the MRT instead.
Chantalle finally arrived at One-North station, which is the nearest station to Mediacorp, at 11pm. When she reached the office, she had this amusing conversation with the security guard.
“Mediacorp security: 'Huh why you come here so late?!'
Me: 'Yeah… I forgot the car',” wrote Chantalle, who in an earlier story called the incident one of those days for [her] .
Though we're certain Chantalle didn't want her night to turn out like that, but hey, at least it makes an interesting and very entertaining story for her followers, right?
