Chinese Actor Lin Gengxin Couldn’t Get Any Fever Patches, So He Wore A Frozen Diaper On His Head Instead

We’ve heard of many home fever remedies, but this one takes the cake.

Since the easing of Covid restrictions in China, the country has seen a surge in confirmed cases as well as a shortage of medicine as people rushed to stock up on medication.

Chinese actor Lin Gengxin, who appeared to be down with the virus, recently shared on Weibo that he could not get hold of any fever patches, so he decided to try a “folk remedy” he found online.

Along with his post, was a pic of a diaper.

Turns out, the 34-year-old was referring to a cooling patch hack that has been making the rounds on the Internet.

All you need to do is pour some water onto inside of the diaper and place it in the freezer. Remove it after 30 minutes, wear it over your head like a beanie to bring your temperature down.

According to Gengxin, it’s pretty effective.

You look ridiculous, but at least it works, so say those who tried it.

Netizens praised the actor for his resourcefulness, while some were more curious as to why a bachelor would have diapers at home.

“Did you have a baby and not tell us?” asked one netizen, while another wrote: “Are those your girlfriend’s night pants?”

There was also one netizen who requested for Gengxin to demo the makeshift cooling patch.

“Although it is inappropriate to say this now, can you post a selfie of yourself wearing the diaper?" to which Gengxin quipped: "I think it’s best to maintain some mutual respect."
