This Chinese Actor Used To Resemble ‘Snake Spirit Boy’, Now Has A New Post-Plastic Surgery Look The Internet Loves

No, this story isn’t about a plastic surgery fail. Quite the opposite, actually.

Chinese actor Lin Haoyang, 29, has been trending on Weibo after going for what is best described as an ‘extreme makeover’.

The actor, who used to go by the name Liao Jinfeng, is probably best known for his role in the 2018 drama, Ashes of Love.

According to reports, the actor has never been shy about the fact that he has gone for plastic surgery to enhance his looks.

However, it seems like he took things a little too far, with netizens labelling him as a 'Snake Spirit Boy' lookalike.

For those not in the know — Snake Spirit Boy is a controversial social media star who is known for his scarily huge eyes and unnaturally pointy chin.

Safe to say, it's not a comparison any self-respecting actor wants.

And so, it seems like Haoyang has decided to shake off that association and start anew.

Apart from changing his name, the actor went under the knife once more to reinvent himself. Here’s what he looks like now.

Suffice to say, netizens are loving his new look so much he trended on Weibo for two days straight.

Apart from calling it a “total level up”, netizens also praised Haoyang for having the courage to admit that he has had plastic surgery. Though let's be honest, what else could he have said was the reason behind such a big change in his appearance. Puberty? Didn't think so.

Haoyang also revealed on Weibo that he was "terrified" after seeing his name trend.

“However, I am too thankful for everyone’s interest. This is a form of recognition of the adjustments I’ve made towards myself over a long period of time. Seeing so many warm and kind comments made me feel extremely touched,” he wrote.

The actor went on to share that he gained quite a number of fans after Ashes of Love, but the extra attention also caused him to receive more hate and criticism.

As a result, he began to doubt himself. Eventually, he managed to shake off the negativity, and continued once again on his journey to better himself.

“Those who’ve been soaked by the rain will always want to hold up an umbrella for others. I will definitely try my best to share more about my experience over the last few years in a scientific and rational manner,” he wrote.

“As for me, this is not just a change in physical appearance, but a form of growth in wisdom. I’m not encouraging everyone to just do whatever [I did], instead, you must have the courage to face the world, no matter what happens,” he went on to share.
