Ex TVB Actress Michelle Ye Shocks Netizens With Barefaced Appearance On Live Stream
Since leaving TVB in 2005, Hong Kong actress Michelle Ye, who was once dubbed the “goddess of period dramas”, has been focusing on her career in the Mainland.
Besides acting, the 42-year-old also runs her own production company and has found much success in live stream sales.
Recently, Michelle went on live stream to chat with her fans.
However, unlike her previous sessions where she is all dolled up, Michelle went on camera without a lick of make-up.
Fans were surprised to see her looking au naturel with her hair pulled back in a ponytail, and the comments were pretty savage.
They zeroed in on her “dull” and “saggy” skin, obvious eye bags, “receding hairline”, and even said she “looked like an auntie”.
It didn’t help that she was dressed casually in a nude fitted top, which was compared to, um, thermal underwear.
Too real for fans
Netizens also pointed out that Michelle did not seem to care about how she looked.
There were times where she would lean back in her chair, revealing her muffin top, and she behaved like an auntie too.
Midway through the session, she removed her “thermal underwear”, to show off her nude sleeveless top, which was one of the items she was hawking.
And at one point, even appeared to pick her teeth. Yes, on live stream.
"So scary!" wrote one fan, while others commented that she's so different now from her usual glamorous self.

This is not the first time Michelle has raised eyebrows for her appearance.
In June, she looked almost unrecognisable in a live stream session after seemingly going overboard with the beauty filter.
Her cheekbones were unnaturally high and she appeared to have heavy eye bags.
There were comments like "How come you look different?", “Feels odd”, and "The nose has changed", and some fans even remarked that she looked like late casino king Stanley Ho's youngest daughter, Alice Ho.
