Fann Wong thanked Christopher Lee and son Zed for making her a mum… and other ways local stars marked Mother’s Day on IG

Your Instagram feed over the past weekend was probably filled with super sweet Mother’s Day tributes. That, and updates from the Blackpink concerts. Not that we’re complaining, of course.

But just in case you missed out, we've prepared a round-up with a couple of celeb Mother’s Day posts that touched our hearts, and in the case of a few of the posts, made us chuckle.

Aileen Tan

The reel-life mother-son duo, who starred opposite each other in All Around You, are still as close as ever, and we love it.

Aileen previously shared with 8days.sg that Siming was the one who taught her how to make TikTok videos, and, well, their chemistry obviously shows in this video.

Zoe Tay

Zoe might have spent Mother’s Day jamming along to Blackpink at the National Stadium with her sons, but she also made sure to pay her mum a quick visit earlier in the day.

Ah Jie shared a quick video of her and her mum, musing that laying one’s head on their mum’s chest and being in their embrace is the best… and we heartily agree. We mean, just look at the smile on Zoe’s face!

Jaime Teo

Okay, this is pretty funny. Jaime got a classic Mother’s Day surprise from her daughter Renee, complete with a handmade card, a flower, and breakfast… with a small bite taken out of it.

“I took a bite to see how it tastes,” Jaime laughed in her caption, quoting Renee. After all, a good chef has to make sure that their food is palatable, right?

That’s not all though. Renee even cleaned up the art room and kitchen too, according to Jaime.

Joanne Peh

Joanne got pensive with her Mother’s Day post, penning a caption that summed up her journey thus far as a mother.

“I’m constantly figuring out my role as my kids’ mom because as they grow and enter different stages, their physical bodies, needs, social circles, emotions and priorities change. So do mine,”  Joanne wrote.

She went on to muse: “Communication has to evolve, and some days, I wonder if I’m even playing the role right. Eight years of celebrating Mother’s Day, and I’m still reflecting, along with my pillar of strength by my side. It’s a lifelong journey.”

Sheila Sim

Sheila, who is now a mother-of-two, exclaimed in her post that being a mother is “a role I cherish more than words can express”.

The 38-year-old added: “My two precious baby girls, you have stolen my heart completely. Every single day, you manage to steal it in the most profound ways. I feel incredibly blessed that you have chosen me as your mother!”

Nurul Aini

Now, this is a familiar sight for parents who have more than one kid.

Nurul posted a short video of her tearing up as she read a card that her son, Shan Ehan, 12, wrote for her, only for her daughter, Shaista, 10, to quickly chime in that Nurul only teared up when she read Shan’s card, but didn’t do so when she read the cards Shaista, as well as the family’s domestic helper, Dewi, wrote for Nurul.

“It’s not a competition, Shaista!” Nurul laughed in her caption.

Xiang Yun

Second-gen celeb Yixin had a mighty sweet tribute to her celeb mum Xiang Yun.

“Thank you for always being there for me, and supporting me in every step I take,” she wrote, expressing her gratitude to Xiang Yun.

Yixin also ended her post with a quick reminder to remember and appreciate “all those who have shown us love and kindness in their own special way”.

Eleanor Lee

Like Yixin, second-gen celeb Eleanor took to Instagram to show her love for her celeb mum, Quan Yifeng.

“Happy Mother’s Day to all the strong mommies out there! May you always be this young, strong, and healthy. You will always be the bravest, strongest, and cutest mom in the world to me!”  Eleanor wrote in her caption.

Fann Wong

Sharing a selfie with her husband, actor Christopher Lee and their son, Zed, Fann bucked the trend by thanking Chris and Zed.

“Grateful for the two amazing blessings who made me a mum,”  she wrote in her caption, adding: “You make every day special, and I am lucky to have you both in my life.”

Xu Bin

This Mother’s Day was extra heartwarming for Xu Bin and his family-of-four, with the actor sharing why in his caption.

“This year, what really, really, really, moved [Xu Bin’s wife, Evelyn Wang] the most were the tulips that our son picked out. In that instant, I felt that our little kiddo’s really full of warmth,”  the proud papa wrote.

As for Jesseca, she travelled back to her hometown, Langkawi, to spend Mother’s Day with her mum. Or as Jesseca nicknamed her in her IG post, “supermama”. So cute!
