Gary Chaw’s 14-Year-Old Son Joe Looks All Grown Up Now; Netizens Think He’s Making His Modelling Debut

In 2014, Malaysian singer Gary Chaw, 43, appeared in the Chinese reality show Where Are We Going, Dad? with his son Joe, and daughter Grace, who were aged six and four respectively back then.

It’s been nine years since it first aired and fans of the show still remember Joe fondly, for the kid, with his bowl cut and adorable demeanour, easily won over the hearts of many.

Joe is now 14 years old and he has certainly grown into his boyishly handsome features.

In recent pictures, the teen could be seen sporting an edgy permed haircut and a tan much like his father’s. Gone is the kid with round, chubby cheeks; in his place a mature boy who has just started to grow the beginnings of a moustache.

Here's Joe looking all suave in his new fit

The one recent post that stood out most to netizens however, was the one where Joe was seen posing in his house, dressed in outerwear from a collaboration between Canada Goose, Union and NBA.

And if you’re wondering how we came to know the brand of the fashionable outerwear which costs about S$780, it’s because Joe tagged it in his pic.

Although Joe often updates his Instagram page with fresh pics, this was the first time he posed for several photos in the same outfit, and tagged the brand.

His mother, Taiwanese fashion blogger Wu Shuling, also reposted Joe’s pic with the same tags.

As such, many netizens surmised that the teen had gotten a sponsorship from the brand, and is preparing to make his modelling debut.

We guess time will tell if Joe was simply offered a sponsorship from the clothing brand, or if he's really on the road to appearing on fashion runways.
