G.E.M Has Reportedly Broken Up With Stylist Boyfriend Of 5 Years ; Insinuates That He’s Two-Faced In New Songs

According to Hongkong media, singer G.E.M, 30, and her stylist boyfriend of five years Mark Ngai, are officially over.

Media outlet Oriental Daily News reportedly received a tip-off from an anonymous citizen who revealed that the couple had called it quits a few months ago.

Mark also returned to Hongkong from China, where he’s been keeping mainland-based G.E.M company, last month.

The couple, who used to post pictures together on social media ever-so-often, haven't done for quite a few months as well. Their last photo together was taken in August this year, when they celebrated G.E.M’s birthday with a group of friends.

For the past few years, G.E.M has also posted a picture dedicated to Mark on his birthday on Nov 15.

However, this year, on the eve of Mark's birthday, G.E.M shared a landscape photo, along with this cryptic caption: “Remember how well others treated you, and forget how well you have treated others.”

When G.E.M's followers asked why she posted the quote, she replied: “First, ‘cos love doesn’t ask for anything in return. Secondly, if you always dwell on how well you’ve treated others, you might slowly fall into the trap of being overly calculative.”

To add fuel to the fire, G.E.M is believed to have included a sly jab at Mark in her latest releases, 'Double You' and 'Double Me'.

Fans have singled out these two lines from 'Double You': “It feels like you have too many secrets to unmask in this second” and “Why is it that the you I’m familiar with has become an illusion, how can I distinguish the truth”,

As for 'Double Me', G.E.M sings “You’ve blinded my eyes, how should I start analysing” and “I hate myself, for being able to see clearly”, which netizens say is G.E.M's way of hinting at Mark’s two-faced personality.

When reached for a comment, Mark declined to speak to the media. He first replied that he had “no comment”, before apolosing and thanking the reporter.

G.E.M did not respond to the rumours directly, but did post this on Instagram: “Everyone, stop eating melons [Chinese slang for gossiping] ‘cos it’s not nutritious. I’ll release my new song Time To Go Back on Dec 21, please pay loads of attention to it”.
