HK Actor Pierre Ngo Accused Of Cheating On Wife After His Co-Star Was Seen Leaving His Home; He Reveals He’s Been Divorced For 3 Years

Guess there’s one thing that’s abundantly clear from the recent reports about the love life of former TVB actor Pierre Ngo, 45: he’s definitely single.

Pierre, who’s been in showbiz for over 20 years, saw his popularity reaching new heights in 2021 when he starred as the lead in drama Fraudstars after years of playing supporting characters.

That's not to say that playing supporting roles didn't do anything for his career. Pierre shot to fame as the power-hungry Chiang Bit Man in 2009's mega hit Rosy Business, and the role clinched him the Most Improved Actor award the same year.

Anyway, back to Fraudstars.

In the drama, Pierre stars alongside Hongkong actress Angel Chiang, 32, who’s probably best known for playing Yiu Ching-shui in the 2020 drama, Al Cappuccino.

The duo seemed to hit it off very well, with Angel sharing in an interview that Pierre’s really hilarious, and that they’ve since become good friends.

Now, recent reports have alleged that there might just be something romantic brewing between the two as Angel was reportedly seen leaving Pierre’s apartment after spending the night there.

And while that may sound fine and dandy, there’s just one thing that’s causing a bit of drama — Pierre’s married. Or at least that's what everyone thought.

In 2016, he tied the knot with his non-celeb girlfriend of 16 years, Betty.

However, Pierre has since responded to these reports, revealing that he and his wife — wait for it — called it quits three years ago.

According to the actor, they divorced three years ago, and all his showbiz friends, as well as his family, are aware of that.

However, they chose not go public with the news of their split.

“Before this, we all thought that there was no need to share [that we’ve divorced], and we didn’t know how to reveal it too. Usually when the media ask about my wife during interviews, I won’t share too much too,” he said.

Pierre went on to say that he is still on good terms with Betty.

No love just yet with Angel

So... is this an indirect admission of his relationship with Angel?

Unfortunately, Pierre denied that he's dating Angel too, though he did say he admires her a lot.

The actor shared that he usually has a lot of friends over at his house, and that Angel was merely visiting. When asked if there was room for their relationship to develop further, Pierre would only say that Angel’s very fiery and fierce.

“I’m really scared of her, but for a lot of things, you have to leave up to fate, let’s see how it goes!” he said.
