HK Actress Alice Fung, 78, Cosplays As Boyband Mirror’s Anson Lo, 27, Proving Just How Much They Look Alike

If you’re familiar with Hong Kong boyband Mirror, you would know that one of their members, Anson Lo, 27, is often said to resemble veteran actress Alice Fung, 78.

In fact, many netizens have joked that the pair are “long-lost mother and son”.

And it seems Alice is totally in on the news too.

Anson recently shot a commercial for an ice-blended pink drink from McCafe, and was dressed fittingly in a rose pink suit.

Alice then parodied Anson’s look in a separate ad, and was seen dressed top to toe in the same outfit.

The veteran actress also combed her hair to mimic Anson's and posed with her hands forming a heart, you know, like every self-respecting boybander.

Alice nicknamed herself “Annie Po”, which we guess kinda rhymes with Anson Lo?

Netizens were impressed at how much detail Alice put into copying Anson, even more so by how much she actually resembled the younger star.

“I thought she was Photoshopped!” joked one netizen.

Just a super cool old lady

Alice was initially worried she would receive hate for “portraying an ugly version of Anson”, admitting that she wasn't familiar with him at all.

She was only made aware of Anson when she was shown a picture of him, and was told that netizens were saying that he resembled her.

Though they both appeared in the same drama, Hong Kong Family, earlier this year, Alice and Anson did not share any scenes.

As such, she hopes she can play his grandma some day.

When asked about Alice's parody, Anson said: “[She’s] so adorable. I’m honoured to see [Alice] in this get-up. I saw her post, and I know that it is really meaningful,” said Anson, adding that he, too, wishes to be able to work with Alice soon.

“We actually took a picture together during the premiere for Hong Kong Family, so it counts as a crossover,” said Anson.
