On June 8, Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming, 44, took to his Weibo to debut his new look: an impossibly square jaw. And no, the actor isn’t the victim of botched plastic surgery.
As it turns out, Xiaoming’s wisdom tooth swelled up recently, causing one side of his lower jaw to swell up dramatically. The poor actor also left a comment on his own post, crowdsourcing recommendations to ease the swelling.
According to reports, Xiaoming’s wisdom tooth started swelling last year.

Netizens were very much tickled by Xiaoming’s new look, with some even dubbing the actor as ‘Square (Fang) Xiaoming’ instead of Huang Xiaoming.
“I don’t mean to laugh, trust me, but this is [hilarious], one netizen wrote.
Another asked: “Are you sure that this isn’t the effect of some sort of beauty filter?”.
Others urged the actor to extract his wisdom teeth soon, writing that it’s better to “rip off the bandaid quickly”, to prevent prolonged pain.
