“I Don’t Need Your Money”: Taiwanese Rapper E.so Fires Back At Companies Against Him Supporting Gay Rights

Taiwanese rapper E.so, 35, who is also known as Shou Zi (瘦子), has never been one to mince his words.

The hip-hop star took to Instagram three days ago (Oct 15) to post an open letter directed at companies he has worked with, hinting that they have shown their disapproval of his support for gay rights.

E.so, who married his photographer girlfriend in May this year, appeared to be infuriated by the situation. “For the companies that are unable to agree with my values, don’t work with me. I really don’t need your money," he wrote.

He then challenged said companies, writing: “I am a rapper, who is your boss?”

He also addressed others who did not agree with him. “Those who quote the things I’ve said…really make me not want to speak up… can [you] be more normal…” wrote the rapper.

“I support gay rights, and I also pray to Jesus Christ. Is there anything wrong [with that]?” he continued.

E.so's 'Amazing' music video, features a gay couple

E.so has made it clear that he doesn’t think his support of gay rights go against his beliefs in any way.

Earlier this year, he released a music video for his song ‘Amazing’, which features a same-sex couple.

He also showed his support for the gay community in an earlier interview, saying: “The song ‘Amazing’ talks about love in a bigger picture, because there isn't just one kind of love.”
