'If we go too far, we might not be able to return': Viral hunky lingerie-clad Thai waiters cover up for M’sia event
Malaysian fans of viral cross-dressing Thai hunks, 'Thai Hot Guys', finally got to see the muscled waiters from Bangkok restaurant Staneemeehoi – albeit just a fraction of the group – in the flesh when they made an appearance at the Tastefully Food Expo in Kuala Lumpur last weekend.
The beefy dancers, who are known for entertaining their diners with suggestive dances, all while clad in women’s lingerie, were supposed to attend the opening of KL-based restaurant Privacy Club Tun Razak in March but their performance was cancelled last minute following fierce backlash from Malaysians.
To avoid suffering the same fate, owners of Staneemeehoi, Sarawut Siriphet and Veerasak Mahsahaao, better known as Wow and Dee respectively, swapped their usual racy and lacy get-ups for white tees and pants for their meet-and-greet at Sunway Pyramid convention centre.
Fully clad, but still hot.
Not only were the guys appropriately dressed, they also made it a point to tone down their saucy moves, constantly reminding themselves to “[dance] little bit, not too much” during their performance.
"If we go too far, we may not be able to return again," quipped Dee, adding that those who want to see a more no-holds-barred performance can visit their restaurant in Bangkok.
While Dee admitted that they were disappointed that their March performance was cancelled, they are very happy that this visit went through without a hitch and hope to return to perform with the rest of the group soon.
"I hope people don't treat us as celebrities – we are just ordinary people who sell food. The most important thing is to bring joy to everyone," they said.

During the event, Dee and Wow not only showed off their culinary skills but also their linguistic talents, interacting with fans and the media in a mix of English, Mandarin, and Malay.
The duo also entertained fans with their brand of humour. For example, while waiting for water in the pot to boil, Dee said: “The water hasn’t boiled yet, we need to wait a bit. Let’s dance a little bit first,” before busting out a move.
Wow, who is the more introverted of the two, was not saved from Dee's cheeky antics.
Describing Wow as a himbo, Dee said: “He has no brain. Although he is good looking, he can’t talk. I have brains, speak well and am good-looking too."
