Insta-buzz: What the stars were up to this week

This week, we have birthdays, updates from our local celebs who are filming overseas (so many gym selfies!) and one extra-special overseas trip. We can't wait for the pictures already. Read on for more.

JJ Lin celebrated his birthday in style with Joey Yung and Charlene Choi

After holding six concerts in Hong Kong over the past two weekends, JJ marked his 42nd birthday with a party attended by his celeb friends... and some musings about life.

"Birthday is a reminder to myself that “I am alive”, and it feels good to just be here, spending time with people who care about me and love me," he wrote in his caption, adding: "I am grateful that my life has been this way, a constant learning journey, and with every step and every turn, the winds of time would form layer by layer, sands of protection upon the soul."

Speaking of birthdays....

Did you know that Tay Ying was born on the same day as JJ (March 27)? The actress celebrated her 27th with loads of cakes from her celeb friends and family, and a very confused-looking (but adorable!) Ethel the golden retriever.

Hong Ling wondered if she was in Thailand for filming or a holiday

Hey, all work and no play's not fun at all, right? Hong Ling, who was in Hat Yai to film with some of the cast from upcoming blockbuster drama Road To Riches, took some time off to explore the best of Hat Yai, including this gorgeous waterfall.

Oh, and the cast also managed to fit in loads of gym sessions too

Hmm... does this mean that we can look forward to a couple of shirtless scenes in Road To Riches then? After all, the cast has been hitting the gym almost every day.

Naomi Neo dazzled everyone with her house tour

The influencer moved into an awe-worthy 'glass house' earlier last month, and recently uploaded a house tour on her YouTube.

Check out the statement crystal piece in her living room that left a netizen wondering if they were "at Changi Airport". 'Cos you know, it does kinda resemble the Kinetic Rain art piece at Terminal 1.

Fauzie Laily's song Tersebutlah Kisan made it all the way to Australia

Yep, he's going global. Fauzie shared on his IG Story that his song was recently used as the backing track for a silat performance in Western Australia. Guess Ya Hui's AirPods wasn't the only thing that made it to Australia this week.

Yep, they're back in Singapore after filming in Malaysia for the upcoming horror film Confinement for over a month. Now, time to wait with bated breath and keep our eyes peeled for the movie's release.

Aileen Tan and her husband enjoyed their holiday in snowy Japan

Aren't these snaps of Aileen and her director husband absolutely sweet? They've been vacationing at a skiing resort for the past week or so, and it looks like the couple are pretty much skiing pros now.
