Hongkong actress Irene Wan, 55, celebrated her 21st wedding anniversary on October 1 with her businessman husband Kenneth Ho.
And she marked the special day by sharing a collection of their photos over the years, along with this caption: “This day is the happiest day of my life. We’ve been together for so long and we’ve gone through so many changes. Even though the world keeps changing, my love for you never will. Thank you for being by my side during the countless ups and downs.”
Kenneth, whom Irene once described as “dependable and honest”, was said to have married Irene against his family's wishes.
According to rumours then, Kenneth's wealthy parents did not like him seeing the actress because of her sexpot image in the ‘90s.
While things are super lovey dovey between Irene and Kenneth now, the couple was actually separated for four months in 2017.
At that time, the actress was living apart from Kenneth because of their respective work commitments, and the arrangement made her feel “unloved”.
They decided to take a break and it was during this time that Irene realised that she couldn’t imagine life without Kenneth. And they quickly reconciled after just four months.
It was also through this incident that Irene learned that Kenneth respected and trusted her, and their relationship became stronger than ever.
