Jacky Wu Asks Judge To “Impose A Heavy Sentence” On His 23-Year-Old Son Who Got Arrested For Alleged Marijuana Abuse
On Dec 25, Jacky Wu’s son Rick Wu, 23, was arrested on suspicions of abusing marijuana outside a club in the Xinyi district.
According to reports, Taiwanese police smelled marijuana on the 23-year-old musician, and found a “suspicious cigarette” on him.
He was then taken to the Taipei District Prosecutors’ Office, but was released on the afternoon of Dec 26 after posting a NT$100K (S$4.9K) bail.

In 2018, Rick threatened to blow up Taipei City Hall
This is not the first time Rick, who is also known by his stage name LucyPIE, has made headlines for the wrong reasons.
In 2018, the then-20-year-old declared on Instagram that he would “blow up Taipei City Hall” and “make everyone pay for it” if his girlfriend didn’t recover from an unspecified illness.
Jacky then apologised on behalf of his son, saying that the “there's only one reason [Rick] got called out — his dad is Jacky Wu”.
Rick received a one-year deferred sentence and was slapped with a NT$500K (S$24.5K) fine for his “prank”.
