Joe Ma’s Son Shares Pic With Rumoured Girlfriend Months After HK Media Speculate About His Sexuality

In June this year, Joe Ma’s 24-year-old son, Zai Xiang's graduation ceremony in Australia made headlines because of one Instagram post.

The picture (see below) showed Zai Xiang giving his male classmate a peck on the cheek. The caption? “Boyfie just graduated.”

The post ignited speculations about Zai Xiang’s sexuality. And when asked about the pic, Joe said it was “simply a joke”.

Also, why the need to speculate over someone’s sexuality?

Over Christmas, Zai Xiang shared a picture of himself with his arm around a woman, whom Hong Kong media are claiming is his new girlfriend. They are standing in front of a Christmas tree and smiling sweetly at each other.

“Here’s to the best acquaintance of the year,” he wrote in his caption.

It looks like Zai Xiang and his "best acquaintance" have been friends for some time now.

In August, he posted a throwback mirror selfie of them looking all dressed up, along with this caption: “3 years don’t be changing much, 2019 vs 2022.”

But if there’s anything we’ve learnt from previous news, it’s to not assume anyone is in a relationship just because of a single post.
