Kanye West Was Such A Big Admirer Of Adolf Hitler That He Wanted To Name An Album After Him: Report
Kanye West reportedly used to "praise" Adolf Hitler.
A former employee of West's has alleged that the hip-hop star — who also goes by Ye — admired the late Nazi party leader because of his ability to "accumulate power."
The one-time business executive told CNN: "He would praise Hitler by saying how incredible it was that he was able to accumulate so much power and would talk about all the great things he and the Nazi Party achieved for the German people."
The individual — who has since left the company and asked not to be named due to a confidentiality agreement and fear of professional retribution by West — added that the rapper had read Hitler's 1925 autobiographical manifesto Mein Kampf and was tempted to name his 2018 album after him before settling on Ye.'
It was then claimed that the 'Stronger' hitmaker had made his inner circle "aware" that he admired the dictator, even though he is said to have denied all allegations.
West caused controversy earlier this month making antisemitic comments, including claiming that he was going to "going death con 3 on Jewish people".
As a result, several companies, including Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga, have cut all ties with the 'Donda' rapper.
On Thursday, West, in an Instagram post, claims his controversial remarks have cost him US$2 billion.
In the post, he writes, in part, "I LOST“I LOST 2 BILLION DOLLARS IN ONE DAY AND I’M STILL ALIVE.”
The latest company to cut ties with West is Apple Music, which reportedly removed him from their Essentials playlist.
