Kevin Cheng Says He Almost Got Into A Fight With Rude Tourists Who Wanted To Be In A Scene He Was Shooting For His New Movie

Hongkong actor Kevin Cheng, 52, who is now promoting his new movie G Storm, told Hongkong news outlet on.cc that he has a really short temper.

Filming for G Storm began before the pandemic, and Kevin remembered one incident when he was shooting a scene at a bar near Hongkong’s Central district.

Tourists were intrigued by what was going on and wanted to be included in the shot despite being politely asked to leave by the crew.

“It’s difficult to maintain a good attitude when some [of the tourists] were pretty rude to us and drunk," said Kevin. "I couldn’t hold myself back and said a few words to them too. Our martial arts choreographer held me back, or I would have added a few more action scenes (laughs).

On hindsight, the actor realised that he should have let the crew deal with the situation.

Kevin was then asked if he’s easily triggered, to which he responded that he has “changed a lot in the past decade”.

He added that he would still get upset if the paparazzi harass his sons, Rafael, two, and Yannick, one.

“Kids are innocent and protecting them is the duty of all parents,” he said.

Another thing that pushes Kevin’s buttons are bad drivers.

“I was picking my son up from school when a car suddenly cut into my lane," said Kevin. "I shouted, ‘Use your signal light!’ My son copied what I said, so it’s a good thing that I didn’t add any swear words.”
