Kimberly Chia, 26, Is Married To A 34-Year-Old Businessman & Has A Baby On The Way
She shared that she has always wanted a family of her own , and counts herself very lucky to have gotten pregnant so soon after getting married.
Surprise! Singapore actress Kimberly Chia, 26, has revealed that not only is she married already, she is also pregnant now.
The former SQ girl, who was recently seen in Mediacorp drama Live Your Dreams, announced the good news on her IG yesterday (Oct 22) writing, “Earlier this year, I said YES and I DO to the love of my life. We couldn’t hold a big wedding party due to Covid so we held an intimate one for family and it was the happiest day ever. And now, I’ve never felt luckier to find out that I’m expecting the biggest joy of my life to come soon.”
Xu Bin, who was also part of the interview, let on that Kimberly’s husband is his good friend and a “great guy [who has made] Kimberly very happy”.
According to Kim, she got engaged on the first day of Chinese New Year (Feb 12) and they registered their marriage “not long after”.
The proposal came as a surprise to her as her then-boyfriend came dressed as a God Of Fortune mascot when he visited her house, and she only found out what was happening when he got down on bended knee.
On her husband, Kim said: “He's a very nice guy; he treats me very well, he’s very kind [and] he always makes me laugh. I’m very lucky.”
As for her pregnancy, the actress said that she wanted to share news of it “as soon as she found out” as she’s “not a very pantang (superstitious) person”.
“I’ve always wanted to have a family of my own so I’m really very lucky that I got married and got a kid really soon,” she gushed. “I was very touched when I saw my baby moving in my stomach [during the ultrasound]. I don’t know why but I cried.”
During our interview, she declined to reveal how many months along she is as the couple “would like to keep the due date of [their] baby private .
We do not know the gender of our baby yet but we’re very excited to find out when the time comes, she added.
