Liu Wen Cheng Still Alive; Agent Says He Faked News Of Death Because The Taiwanese Singer Told Him To
Taiwanese former singer Liu Wen Cheng, 70, is alive after all.
A day after Wen Cheng’s agent, Xia Yushun announced that the reclusive singer who rose to fame in the '70s and ‘80s, had died of a heart attack in his home in the United States in November last year, he has backtracked on his statement.
In an interview with ETtoday, he said Wen Cheng "is still with us", but does not wish to see anyone.
He revealed that Wen Cheng had chosen to fake his death as someone from China had offered him NT$2 billion (S$90mil) to do a concert tour but he’s not willing.
“He told me to post that he is gone, lest everyone keeps nagging him to make a comeback, so I posted the news on purpose. He will not meet anyone and there will be no clarification," said Yushun.
He added that Wen Cheng had indeed suffered a heart attack but pulled through and is now in Las Vegas.
