Male Taiwanese Olympic Gymnast Goes Viral For Looking Like Dee Hsu's 8-Year-Old Daughter
Even Dee has started calling him “son”.
Netizens are saying that 19-year-old Hong Yuanxi really looks like Taiwanese host Dee Hsu’s eight-year-old daughter, Alice Hsu, pointing out their curly hair, single eyelids, and thick lips.
Even Dee thinks so too.
Yesterday (Jul 25), the mother-of-three shared the meme of Alice and Yuanxi on Facebook with this caption: “Son, mum and [your] younger sister are waiting for you at home! Thanks for your hard work.”
Within half an hour, the post received more than 30,000 likes and hundreds of comments.
No wonder I found him so familiar. Mystery solved , “I thought he looked like [Korean actor] Kim Soo Hyun, but it’s actually Alice”, “Would like to find out if papa Hsu is happy that the house is no longer a female dormitory”, and You should be his stepmother? This will haunt Alice,” were just some of the comments from amused netizens.
Four hours after her post, Dee uploaded a video joking about how proud she is of Yuanxi and that he is the best big brother.
When Dee asked Alice if there's anything she wanted to say to her brother , Alice replied the guy with the afro? before laughing.
Soon, netizens started sharing other Hsu family lookalikes in the Olympics including Chinese weightlifting champ Hou Zhihui, who clinched the gold medal in the women's 49kg category.
“Don’t forget, you have another daughter, wrote one netizen, while another asked: Do you have one more [daughter] in China?
Alice isn’t the only one in the family with a doppelgänger in Taiwan’s gymnastics team.
Several netizens pointed out that gymnast Ting Hua Tien looks a lot like Dee’s eldest daughter, 15-year-old Elly. What do you think?
