A-Mei’s Bartender Beau Has Proud Boyfriend Moment When He Sees Her On A Billboard In New York’s Times Square
After taking a step back from work to care for her mum the past few years, Taiwanese pop diva A-mei returned with a concert tour which kicked off in Taipei in April.
The singer is currently on the US leg of her A-Mei ASMR World Tour where she has stops in cities like Chicago, Washington and Las Vegas.
Earlier this week, A-mei’s boyfriend, bartender Sam Yao, who’s with her in New York, took to Facebook to share the moment he saw the singer featured on a Times Square billboard promoting her shows.
“It’s minus 2 degrees in New York’s Times Square [but] I do not feel cold at all because of this one-minute video. My heart is full of pride,” wrote Sam.
Fans too were moved by the image, commenting: "The pride of Taiwan”, “What a moving moment” and “Limbs are cold, but the heart is warm. If I were standing there, I wouldn’t bear to leave.”
Recently, Sam also has been sharing behind-the-scenes snaps from A-mei’s shows.
He lamented that A-mei hasn’t been at her best health-wise due to the dry air which has resulted in her old injuries acting up.
“I won’t even talk about the jet lag, the dry air alone is too much for her. Fortunately the weather is cool. [She has to go through] eight hours of preparation before each performance, the recurring old injuries, but after the opening, she will sing happily," he wrote.
