Mimi Chu Shows How She Practices Singing While Doing Chores In Her $2mil Landed House In Singapore
When you’ve had a successful showbiz career for decades like veteran TVB actress Mimi Chu, you’d probably be living in as much luxury and comfort as she is right now too.
Rumour has it that the 67-year-old Ipoh native owns at least eight or nine properties in Hongkong, Malaysia, and Singapore, and that she is worth “tens of millions” of dollars (HK$10mil is about S$1.7mil).
So it probably shouldn’t be surprising that clips of her residence have gotten people gushing over how fancy it looks.

She’s worked hard for her money
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mimi has left Hongkong for the time being and is currently based in Singapore with her son and daughter-in-law.
The very hip and tech-savvy star is quite active on Douyin and recently offered fans a glimpse of her home, a two-and-a-half storey, 372 sqm landed house that she reportedly bought for HK$12mil (S$2.1mil).
While not as crazily opulent as the not-so-humble abodes of Hongkong actor Ray Lui and former Taiwanese child star Hsieh Lingling, Mimi’s pad is still pretty lavishly decorated and also appears very warm and homely at the same time.

Welcome to Mimi’s crib
In the video, Mimi demonstrated how one can practice singing wherever they are, even while doing housework.
One part shows her wiping the furniture in her living room while flaunting her effortless vocal chops, but what really caught the attention of netizens was a glass cabinet in the background that’s full of various gold ornaments — not exactly something you’d find in every household (or at least, not as many as that).

Mimi previously also gave a tour of the place on a YouTube channel, where viewers got to see the dining area that has three large statues of Fu Lu Shou, the gods of good fortune, prosperity, and longevity.
In addition, there is a spacious outdoor kitchen and a guest bedroom that was converted into a storeroom for her son’s collection of steering wheels.
