Netizen Accuses Linda Chung Of Faking Her Nice Girl Persona After Actress Rejected Request For A Photo Together

Recently, a netizen who lives in Vancouver, Canada, took to the internet to share about a chance meeting she had with Hong Kong actress Linda Chung, 38. The actress, who is currently pregnant with her third child, is based in Vancouver.

According to the netizen, she came across Linda while she was shopping for clothes. Though Linda appeared to be bare-faced and dressed casually, the netizen had nothing but praises to sing about Linda’s looks.

“She looked super beautiful, with a ‘celebrity aura’, and was even prettier than the pictures you see online," the netizen gushed.

Apart from that, the netizen added that she mustered up the courage to approach Linda and greet her in the store, with Linda smiling and exchanging greetings with them.

You might see her shopping, or out on a hike.

“It was a pity that she was rushing to leave, I heard her companion using Cantonese to urge her to leave after trying on the clothes. Maybe she was rushing off to pick her kids up, so I didn’t dare to ask for a photo together,” the netizen wrote.

Thankfully, the netizen later realised that she’d unknowingly snapped a picture of Linda, who’d walked into frame while she was taking pictures outside the fitting room.

Just Linda Chung casually photobombing your pictures, no biggie.

The netizen shared that picture, and ended her post with a short sentence hoping to chance upon Linda once more.

Sounds pretty sweet and wholesome, right? However, there were some netizens who did not agree with the original poster’s assessment of Linda.

One particular netizen left a comment, recounting their experience meeting Linda. In their comment, they accused Linda of being nice for the cameras only.

Too cool for a picture together?

“Forget it, she’ll never take a picture with you. Her usual nice demeanour on television is all fake! My family and I came across Linda before. My family was very polite [when asking to take a photo], and didn’t demand for a picture together with her. It was pre-Covid, but she refused our request with a fearful expression on her face, as if she was scared of us. It was ridiculous, I feel like she’s not approachable at all, and my impression of her changed from then on,” the netizen wrote.

The two differing experiences has divided netizens.

While some agreed that Linda was rude and not as “nice" as she portrays herself to be, others argued that celebs are not required to accede to requests to take photos with fans when they’re off-the-clock.

“Is it a must for her to take a photo together? She has the right to reject you, [your take on this] is ridiculous. Is it wrong that she doesn’t want to be disturbed?” one netizen asked, while another wrote: “I feel that it’s perfectly normal for celeb to reject request for a photo together.”
