Netizens Say HK Stars Benny Chan, Eric Suen Have Been Relegated To Dancing In The Background For Chinese Influencers

Recently, Hong Kong actors Benny Chan, 52, and Eric Suen, 49, who are both based in China, were seen at an event with popular Chinese Douyin stars Guo Yue Fu Qi.

There, the two Hong Kong stars shot more than 20 videos with the husband-and-wife team.

While shooting content for Douyin is all in a day's work for many stars these days, fans were disappointed at the behaviour of Benny and Eric, who were huge stars back in the '90s and early noughties.

Looks like they were really vibing, though.

During the live stream, Guo Yue Fu Qi took charge hosting the show while Benny and Eric stood behind them the whole time, occasionally singing and dancing in the background.

Netizens who tuned in said the Hongkong stars didn't seem to know the products well and simply acted as Guo Yue Fu Qi's assistants.

On top of that, Benny was also seen bowing respectfully to the couple when they were eating together.

Evidently, their behaviour didn't sit well with netizens, with one commenting that they "can't believe Benny Chan and Eric Suen have been reduced to background dancers for influencers".
