Pan Lingling Had A Reunion With Ex-Actresses Madeline Chu And Cherie Lim

Isn’t it nice to see that they’ve remained in contact throughout the years?

It’s always nice to meet up with old friends, isn’t it?

And on August 12, Pan Lingling, 51, did just that. And in the process, we were able to catch a rare glimpse of two former Ch 8 stars whom we haven’t seen in a while — Madeline Chu and Cherie Lim.

The trio go way back, by the way.

Lingling and Madeline met at the former Singapore Broadcasting Corporation's 8th Drama Artiste Training Course and they entered showbiz after graduating in 1988.

Cherie, on the other hand, was from 9th Drama Artiste Training Course and her course mates included

Madeline, 51, is perhaps best known for her role in 1988 Mediacorp supernatural drama Mystery, which left kids who grew up in that era with an irrational fear of butterflies. #iykyk.

She left showbiz in 1996 after tying the knot with her diplomat husband, with whom she has two daughters. They lived in Taiwan and Japan for a number of years, before returning to Singapore in 2005.

Cherie, also 51, left showbiz in 1994, and she married Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim in 2003. Cherie was known as the Kao Biore girl thanks to her silky tresses and she was the star of dramas like1990's Sweet Dreams and 1991's The Future Is Mine opposite Chew Chor Meng.

In her caption, Lingling mused: “Long time no see. During today’s meal, I had a great time eating and chatting happily! Everyone, I’ll tell you [something], when we all met each other, we were all young girls. We all graduated from the drama artiste training course. Long live our friendship.”

Netizens were quick to leave comments on Lingling’s post, reminiscing about the days when all three stars were on TV together.

One netizen called them “the three beauties of Mediacorp” while another commented: “Three exceptional Singaporean actresses, I only hope that there’ll be a chance to see the three of you act in a drama together”.
