This Physical: 100 Contestant Looks Just Like Jay Chou
Have you ever watched a show and gone, "Hey, I've seen this person before"?
That was the case for viewers of Netflix's Physical: 100, a Korean reality competition where super fit contestants go up against each other in a series of challenges. Think Squid Game with a lot of muscles but without the gory deaths.
The show has become the huge hit for the streaming platform, no thanks to its physically-blessed contestants, many of whom are very easy on the eye.
One Physical: 100 contestant also recently went viral on TikTok for looking like a Mandopop superstar.
On Wednesday (Feb 1), TikToker Jonho7y posted a clip of Korean wrestler Nam Kyung Jin along with this caption: "Wah Jay Chou joined Physical: 100".
The TikToker also wrote: "More like Jay Chunky" and added Jay's song 'Shuo Hao De Xin Fu Ne' as the audio for the clip, which made it all funnier.
The TikTok clip quickly went viral, with over 219K views at press time.
Many netizens have taken to the comments section to agree with Jonho7y, with some saying that they "had the exact same thought" while watching the show.
"Can't unsee the resemblance now," wrote one netizen, while another said "no wonder he looked so familiar".
"Jay Chou on steroids," read another comment.
Jay Chou, but make it buff
Nam Kyung Jin, 34, is a freestyle wrestler from the South Korean national team.
He won bronze at the 2014 and 2018 Asian Games, and the 2020 Asian Championships.
He's also very popular with the other contestants, with many of them voting for him as team leader.
