Seo Ye Ji Embroiled In New Controversy After Netizen Complains The Actress & Her Parents Are Inconsiderate Neighbours

Seo Ye Ji can't seem to catch a break. It hasn't been that long since the 32-year-old South Korean actress had to make a public apology, and now she's had to issue another mea culpa for a separate matter.

On Feb 28, Ye Ji apologised 10 months after being accused of controlling and manipulating the on-set behaviour of fellow actor Kim Jung Hyun, 31.

It was believed that Ye Ji had pressured Jung Hyun, whom she was dating at that time, to refrain from having any physical contact with his co-stars.

While Ye Ji did not specifically mention the controversy in her apology, she did write that she regrets causing discomfort to others in the past due to her “immature attitude and shortcomings”.

“I sincerely apologise for conveying my feelings so late through these written words. I have been taking some time to reflect on myself after facing the criticism,” wrote the actress, who'll be starring in upcoming drama Eve in the first half of this year.

But it seems like her apology has been overshadowed by a new controversy that has emerged recently.

According to an anonymous netizen's post, Ye Ji's parents have been accused of being terrible neighbours. While Ye Ji does not live there, she has also been accused of inconveniencing the life of their neighbours whenever she visits.

The netizen shared that they're ex-neighbours with Ye Ji’s parents, who had “placed dog gates around a stairwell used by all residents of the villa, making it difficult for others to use the stairs.” Said netizen also alleged that Ye Ji’s father had gotten physical, and had “pushed people threateningly” during a conflict.

Apart from that, Ye Ji reportedly visited her parents at least three times a week, and had always parked as she wished, blocking the cars of other residents.

“Each time [Ye Ji visited], she parked her vehicle however she wanted in front of other people's cars so that they could not get out. This continued on for four years,” the netizen wrote.

When the netizen approached the actress and asked if she was indeed Seo Ye Ji, the actress had initially denied it. However, a while later, Ye Ji allegedly “brought along her management agency’s lawyer” to mediate things.

“I explained the things that had happened over the four years and got an apology. Seo Ye Ji said her parents would be moving out. She asked me, “You’re not going to write a post [about this] online, right?” which made me doubt her sincerity in the apology.” the netizen wrote.

When contacted by the media, Ye Ji’s management agency, Goldmedalist, admitted that there was some truth to the netizen’s post,

According to the agency, the conflict came about due to “misunderstandings” between both parties.

“Seo Ye Ji's family has apologised to all the neighbors involved once they found out that there were complaints. As for whether or not someone's apology seems genuine or not, it is up to the personal interpretation of each party; we are not sure how to respond to this. The Seo family moved out not long after this issue happened, and it has already been resolved.” the agency stated.
