Shaun Tam Reportedly Paid S$1mil To Star In Chinese Drama, Will Earn More Than What He Makes In 2 Years At TVB
Shaun Tam has seen his popularity and fortunes rise since winning Best Actor for his role in Take Two at the TVB Anniversary Awards earlier this month. The 41-year-old also took home the Malaysia’s Favourite TVB Actor award.
Not only has he caught the eye of advertisers, he has also been receiving acting offers from the mainland.

His star is shining bright
He is said to have signed on to star in a Chinese drama, earning himself a cool HK$6mil (S$1.03mil), which, according to reports, is more than what he makes in two years at TVB.
Filming is slated to begin in February and Shaun is currently serving his quarantine in China.
On Monday, Shaun took to Instagram to share snippets of his quarantine life in his hotel room.
"Stay healthy as a new challenge awaits," he wrote, along with pics of him working out. He also showed off his eat clean meal of hard-boiled eggs and banana.
In an interview with Hongkong media, Shaun said that he would be spending his Chinese New Year all alone in his hotel room and that he will not be "released" so soon.
Though he declined to reveal details of his upcoming drama, he said that he is very happy to be given the opportunity work on the project and hopes everything will go smoothly.

He'll be away from his family for around six months
According to reports, the shoot will take place in extreme cold weather, and will only wrap in the summer.
Though Shaun will be away from his family for several months, he decided to accept the role as it allows him to showcase his range as an actor... plus, the pay is not half bad too.
