Show Luo Coming To S’pore For The Opening Of His Endorsed Beef Noodle Restaurant Niu Dian
Here is where to catch him
The upcoming restaurant is located at VIIO @ Balestier. It is holding its grand opening on Feb 8, for which Show is slated to, erm, show up at 11.45am.
The restaurant has its own bubble tea kiosk
The restaurant is collaborating with homegrown bubble tea brand Palace Tea (which admittedly we have never heard of) to offer BBT like pearl milk tea, aiyu jelly green tea and lychee mint black tea.
The kiosk is located near the back entrance of the eatery, and you can either order BBT to go with your beef noodle meal or have the drinks to go.
The 55-seat space, modelled after a fancy Taiwanese banquet hall, will also offer banquet-style seating for large groups.
Taiwanese beef noodles
Niu Dian has been around since 2005. It was founded by Taiwanese hotel chef Lin Chunying, who experimented with marrying Western and Chinese cooking techniques to replicate the taste of his childhood favourite dish.
The restaurant’s noodle bowls such as the signature Combination Specialty Beef Noodles are topped with Australian beef ribs and tendon, plus innards like tripe and heart. Customers can choose their preferred beef toppings, as well as swap out half of their noodles for more beef tendon.
The noodles are also served with your choice of an original beef bone broth boiled for 24 hours, or a thicker braise broth. Sauces and marinades used are imported from Taiwan.
Here is what to expect from the menu:
Premium Braised Combination Beef Noodles
Beef noodles served with both soup options and a sauerkraut side.
Spicy Pepper Combination Specialty Beef Noodles
Beef noodles tossed in a feisty Chaotian pepper sauce.
Niu Dian opens Feb 8, 12pm, at #01-01/02 VIIO @ Balestier, 520 Balestier Rd, S329853. Open daily, Thu-Sun 11am-9.30pm, Fri & Sat 11am-10pm. Last order 30 mins before closing. www.instagram.com/niudiansg.
