Someone Implied That Shaun Tam Only Wins Awards ‘Cos Of His Father Ti Lung; Netizens Try To Figure Out Which Actress Said It

The TVB Anniversary Awards may be over, but it looks like audiences can’t stop talking about some of the ceremony’s moments, such as the star-studded mini game of Family Feud.

One of the questions during the session was: “Audiences always have the misconception that artistes win awards not ‘cos of their own strengths, but ‘cos of what?”

Before Best Actor and “Malaysia’s Favourite TVB Actor” winner Shaun Tam, 41, could answer, a female voice was heard shouting: “[Their] father!”

While everyone else laughed, Shaun looked embarrassed and said: “I wanted to say ‘their relationships’.”

As the son of legendary Hongkong actor Ti Lung, Shaun has put up with accusations that he is where he is in his career because of nepotism, so the unknown woman’s remark was thought to have created quite an awkward moment for him.

Naturally, netizens have been trying to figure out which actress was the one who yelled “father”.

Some pointed out that after Shaun gave his answer, Moon Lau and Mayanne Mak can be seen giving each other a high-five, causing viewers to speculate that Moon might have been the ‘culprit’.

While there were those who praised the 32-year-old actress for being “very brave”, others worried that this would make her a target for haters.

However, Moon has since replied to comments on social media clarifying that it wasn’t her.

Other ‘suspects’ that have been named were Crystal Fung and Kaman Kong, both of whom are known for their high-pitched voices and outspoken personalities, but it looks like the mystery still has not been solved.
