So this is a homecoming of sorts: Seven renowned anime studios — including Kamikaze Douga, Geno Studio and TRIGGER — giving their unique East-meets-West spin on the Star Wars universe in this short film anthology. (This anime collab isn’t a new thing: remember Animatrix and Batman: Gotham Knight?)

    Thailand’s second Netflix original series — after The Stranded — follows a young man (Sukollawat “Weir” Kanarot) embroiled in a citywide conspiracy while working for an emergency rescue service that specialises in cleaning up bodies. Netflix, any plans to launch a Singapore original production? Asking for a friend.

    From Mike Flanagan, the creator of The Haunting of Hill House, comes this seven-ep terror fable set in an island hamlet where the local priest (Legion’s Hamish Linklater) with a knack for performing miracles. Are these really miracles or something else? Do they come with a price? Cue ominous music. Also stars Henry Thomas, Rahul Kohli and Kate Siegel.
