Taiwanese Media Say Lee Jinglei Should Apologise To Vivian Hsu If She's Not Going To Show Proof Of Latter’s Alleged Affair With Wang Leehom
Wang Leehom’s messy divorce saga has not only decimated the singer's career, it has also ruined the reputation of Singaporean pop star Yumi Bai and Taiwanese singer-actress Vivian Hsu, both of whom have been accused of having affairs with Leehom.
While Yumi had a very public war of words with Leehom's ex-wife Lee Jinglei, with the latter challenging Yumi's claim of innocence, Vivian wasn't actually named.
However, Jinglei's unsubtle digs — she hinted that Leehom had rushed to meet a woman who was “married with kids of her own” despite knowing that he would be breaking COVID-19 restrictions, which was what he did when he visited Vivian's house in September — led the media and netizens to easily connect the dots to Vivian.
At that same gathering too were Christine Fan and Blackie Chen as well as music producer Eric Chen.

The gathering that Jinglei allegedly referenced in her exposé
On Tuesday (Dec 21), Jinglei posted this message on Weibo: “To my knowledge, Blackie Chen and Christine Fan have no unusual relationships with Mr Wang.”
It's said that her post was in response to rumours about a sex video featuring Leehom, Vivian, Christine and Blackie circulating on the internet. [P/S: there isn't]
While Jinglei's message immediately cleared Christine and Blackie from any wrongdoing in the eyes of netizens, the glaring omission of Vivian only made the latter look even more guilty.
Yesterday (Dec 22), Vivian updated her Instagram with yet another declaration (it's her third) of her innocence, maintaining that she “did not interfere in [Jinglei and Leehom’s] marriage" and that "there were absolutely no private meetups and [she is] not the third party that people say [she] is.”
Vivian also wrote, “For more than 30 years, I’ve worked hard in my career. But life doesn’t always go the way you want it to, and I’ve been through numerous hardships along the way. This time, being involved in this issue regarding my friend’s marriage has seriously affected my family, causing them and I to endure attacks on the internet, malicious slander and so on. My heart hurts and I feel helpless. I must stand up for myself again to clarify that I did not do [the things I'm accused of] and to protect my reputation.”
Following Vivian's statement, Taiwanese media EBC posted a commentary saying that netizens have started to call for Jinglei to issue an apology to Vivian.
They said that Jinglei should absolve Vivian from guilt if she has no evidence to prove that the latter had an affair with Leehom and that Jinglei's words have led Vivian to be “questioned by tens of thousands of people even though she is innocent”.
Furthermore, Jinglei’s refusal to do so could cause Vivian’s husband to distrust her and her family to fall apart.
Jinglei's continued silence has seriously damaged Vivian’s reputation and it's been reported that brands have started to remove her from their advertisements, and that could possibly lead to these companies demanding compensation from the star.
