Taiwanese Singer Jiang Yu Heng’s Malacca Mansion Revealed

Veteran Taiwanese singer Jiang Yu Heng was a huge star back in the '90s.

Known for his classic hits like 'Looking Back Once More' and 'The Wandering Heart', he became a household name after singing the theme song of popular ‘90s TV drama Plum Blossom Trilogy.

Though he faded out of the spotlight in the mid-2010s, he still makes the occasional performance on Chinese variety shows and events.

Recently, a video of a gathering at Yu Heng’s Malacca home made the rounds online and drew a range of reactions from netizens.

Some fans were fixated on the 63-year-old’s weight gain and “prominent pot belly”, commenting that he is “unrecognisable” and “looks like former Taiwanese child star Hao Shao Wen”.

Others, on the other hand, were more fascinated by his sprawling mansion, which is decked out in elegant European style décor.

His dining area, for one, has a long rustic dining table that can seat more than a dozen people, and has a projector screen at one end for karaoke sessions.

There is also plenty of space for an al fresco party in his garden and backyard, which boasts a huge pool and grill.

While it is not known when Yu Heng relocated to Malaysia, he has always had an affinity for the country.

He once served as Malaysia’s tourism ambassador and also opened restaurant Jo Kitchen selling Taiwanese cuisine in Malacca in 2017.
