Tang Wei Lets Her 4-Year-Old Daughter Cut Her Own Hair
Some netizens are worried that the girl would injure herself and have advised the Chinese actress to cut her daughter's hair instead.
Chinese actress Tang Wei, 41, rarely posts updates about her daughter Summer, but on Tuesday (Jun 29), she decided to share two photos of the four-year-old trimming her own tresses on Instagram.
In the first pic, Summer, who turns five in August, is seen snipping off the ends of her long hair with a small pair of scissors. In the second, she is sporting a very short bob and chunks of hair can be found all over the floor.
“Little Summer has been feeling too hot and has been cutting her own hair shorter and shorter, let’s see if there will be a third time,” Tang Wei wrote, before dedicating the second part of her caption to Summer. “When you went out to play on Sunday, children younger than you were already calling you big brother.”

On the other hand, others found it dangerous for such a young girl to be cutting her hair by herself, and worried that she might accidentally injure herself with the scissors. Some also persuaded Tang Wei to do it instead as it would be much safer.
Of course, there were those who pointed out that the star must have taken steps to ensure Summer’s safety during the entire process. What good mother wouldn’t, right?
Summer is Tang Wei’s only child with South Korean director Kim Tae Yong. The couple met while working on the 2010 film Late Autumn, tied the knot in 2014, and welcomed Summer two years later.
