Tong Bingyu Reunites With Pals Terence Cao & Dawn Yeoh in Korea; Says They Are "Not Mean Bosses"
After the Singapore-Malaysia border reopening, you would expect Malaysian actress Tong Bingyu, 38, to meet up with old friends and colleagues in Singapore.
The former Mediacorp star did meet up with fellow industry besties Terence Cao, 54 and Dawn Yeoh, 35... except the trio is currently in Seoul, having the time of their lives.
When she spoke to 8world, Bingyu shared that the main purpose of their offshore reunion was to outsource products for Dawn and Terence’s company Sibay Shiok, which they started with fellow celebs Vincent Ng and Shane Pow.
The trio have not met up in the past two years due to the pandemic. “Though I was tired after my flight and didn’t express any happiness on my face, I know we were thrilled to see each other again,” said Bingyu, adding that they would often get together in Singapore and KL pre-pandemic.

All smiles in Seoul.
Besides exploring the country with her friends, Bingyu's main purpose for the trip was to appear as a special guest on Sibay Shiok’s overseas live stream.
“During the four-hour live stream, I witnessed these actors’ passion for their new venture," said Bingyu. "While in Korea, they met up with various brands and managed to secure exclusive deals for products that have amazing value. From what I know, they don’t mind earning less money as they are still establishing the brand.”
The super supportive friend also added that she would totally back the e-commerce brand should they choose to expand in Malaysia in the future.

Bingyu shared her thoughts about the Xavier Ong (left) vs Sibay Shiok fiasco.
Remember back in February when local actor and Wang Yuqing's stepson Xavier Ong claimed Sibay Shiok owed him “S$13k-S$15k”, which Terence only addressed by saying that their legal team would handle the issue?
Well, Bingyu, who clearly kept up with the news only had good things to say about Sibay Shiok.
In a display of solidarity, she asserted that her friends are great bosses.
“I don’t know Xavier, but I know my friends very well and they are very dependable folks. For example, during this trip, we’ve only discussed reducing our workload and not increasing it. They’ve also promised me generous payment and benefits. They are not shifty, mean bosses, which is also why we’ve stayed friends for so long.”
