Video Of China Girl Group Member Getting Knocked Over By Skier Goes Viral, Agency Says It Was Staged

A video of a Chinese girl group member being knocked over by a skier while dancing on a ski slope has gone viral.

In the video, the girls, dressed in black tops and mini skirts, can be seen dancing in a line in the middle of the ski slope while skiers zipped past them, sometimes narrowly missing them.

However, a skier, who was coming from the right of the frame, cut into the path of another skier coming down the slope, causing him to collide into the girl in the middle.

She could be heard screaming upon impact and she pulled another member down with her as she fell.

After the clip went viral, netizens criticised the group for dancing in the middle of the slope and being a hazard to skiers.

However, the group’s management agency claimed that “everything was arranged” and that the stunt was “not dangerous”. The ski resort was also closed, so there wouldn't be any tourists on the slopes.

“There were cameramen and directors on site and the people skiing are coaches. The speed was reduced to almost zero, so there wasn’t much of a problem,” said the agency, adding that no one was injured and that “it wasn’t an accident, but was pre-planned by [them]”.

However, netizens were skeptical, judging from the impact of the collision.

"She’s screaming like this and you still say it was planned?" wrote one netizen, while another said that even if it was staged, they could have executed the stunt safely.

“What's wrong with the person who came up with this idea? Don't you know that there is this thing called the green screen?" he asked.
