Yanxi Palace Empress Qin Lan Says Many Stars Are “As Thin As Ghosts” In Real Life

Recently, the actress, who also runs the agency that Lawrence Wong is signed to in China, gave an interview where she talked about the stress of looking picture perfect on screen. She revealed that whenever the camera is on her face, she has to make sure that she looks flawless from “every angle”.

“I believe that you cannot let the audience down, and so I often go for IPL treatments on my face,” she said. “I believe this is a very normal way to maintain [your looks]. Actors who look really good on screen are usually as thin as ghosts in real life. They all don’t look good, or they look very normal. But they look fatter on screen,” she added, reiterating the well-known adage that the camera adds 10 pounds to your face and figure.


 

Her honesty delighted her fans who went online to praise the actress for her candor. “I really like how real she is, everyone looks good at different stages of life, the audience shouldn’t be so picky on how fat or thin a star is,” wrote one netizen.
