On Dec 17, local actor and second-gen celeb Joel Choo, 29, tied the knot with Jiayuan, his girlfriend of 10 years, in a lavish ceremony at The Fullerton Hotel.
The wedding saw some 380 guests, which included many of Joel’s and his dad Zhu Houren’s celeb pals, including Rayson Tan, Chew Chor Meng, Aileen Tan, Kym Ng, Paige Chua, Felicia Chin, Jeffrey Xu, Darren Lim, Evelyn Tan, Hazelle Teo, Zhong Kunhua, and Zhang Zetong.
The wedding was sprinkled with the same brand of creative humour we’ve come to know Joel for.
These include using the meme-iest fonts for his powerpoint slides, a surprise inclusion of a photo of Houren from years ago, and the cutest and longest wedding hashtag we’ve ever seen: #Joelandjiayuansuperawesomeweddingsnowyisacutedog.
Snowy, of course, is Joel and Jiayuan’s adorable pup, who was also featured in the couple’s wedding pics.
