Netizens have raised concerns over potential safety hazards after Queen Of Tears star Kim Ji-won braved a frenzied scene at Seoul's Incheon International Airport on Wednesday (May 15).

The 31-year-old actress had flown back to Korea from Singapore, where she attended a private event by luxury brand Bulgari at Sentosa’s Tanjong Beach Club.

Videos of Kim's arrival in Seoul have circulated online, showing her being greeted by large crowds recording the event on their phones. Accompanied by security guards, she was seen being jostled as numerous fans swarmed her, attempting to give her flowers, letters and gifts, and calling out to her for her attention.

Even amid the mayhem, Kim kept her composure and smiled and thanked her fans, and repeatedly reminded them to be careful.

Since the videos went viral, netizens have pointed out that the situation seemed dangerous for Kim, and called for increased security measures.

One X user posted the video, captioning it: “Everyone swarming around her has no shame bc what do u not understand about personal space?! admire her from AFAR. GIVE THE GIRL ROOM TO WALK WITHOUT BEING PUSHED! you’re putting everyone at risk of getting injured how hard is that to understand.”

Another commented: “this was the most stressful airport arrival I've ever seen. even jiwon couldn't help but laugh at how messy it was. poor girl must be drained as hell after this.”

Many have also praised the K-drama star for maintaining her composure and worrying about her fans despite the chaos.

The actress arrived in Singapore on Sunday night and was in town for a few days. She was spotted at VivoCity on May 14, with photos of her queuing and ordering a drink at bubble tea chain Koi Cafe posted on Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu.
