Tom Cruise may just be at the Paris Olympics for another reason, other than rooting for Team USA. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the alleged plan is to have the Mission: Impossible star skydive during the closing ceremony on Aug 11.

The segment is planned as a handoff to Los Angeles, the next host city.

According to TMZ, the 62-year-old actor and producer will allegedly be featured taking the Olympic flag with him from the State de France stadium.

It is said to then cut to a two-minute, pre-recorded segment of the Top Gun star hopping onto a plane and flying to LA, where he’ll jump out of the plane and land on the Hollywood sign.

The stunt that took place at the Hollywood sign, according to TMZ, was already quietly shot in March this year.

The Hollywood Reporter learned that another flag-handoff stunt involving a large party at Will Rogers State Beach was pulled as LA’s police was hesitant to shut down Pacific Coast Highway to shoot the pre-recorded segment.
