Many fans descended onto Universal Studios Singapore (USS) on Thursday (Dec 21) to greet Hong Kong star Tony Leung who was in town to promote his new movie The Goldfinger.

Arriving at USS after a press conference at Equarius Hotel, Leung was greeted by legions of adoring fans who clamoured to touch and take a photo with him.

The event marked Leung's first appearance in Singapore after 10 years and fans were understandably ecstatic. A few lucky ones even managed to interact with Leung and had positive things to say about their experience.

8Days editor Jonathan Fam got the chance to interview and take a photo with Leung, calling him "so nice, so easygoing, so down-to-earth".

Instagram user twinklejing managed to get close enough to Leung and claimed to receive a "Hi" back from him.
The Goldfinger will be released in Singapore theatres on Dec 30. Set in the 80s, the movie centres around an anti-corruption investigator who uncovers a criminal conspiracy involving the founder of a successful company. The movie also marks the first on-screen reunion of Tony Leung and Andy Lau in 20 years after Infernal Affairs III.
