Since the Eras Tour kicked off on Mar 2, Singapore has become a hotspot for celebrity-spotting. And given how long Taylor Swift is staying in town, it was only a matter of time until fans saw her out in the wild, especially since she had a couple of days' break from her six-night sold out shows.
One fan has now claimed to have spotted the Karma singer dining at Koma Singapore in Marina Bay Sands.
TikTok user @garygaryocp posted an undated video on Wednesday (Mar 6), showing a woman resembling Swift getting up from her seat before leaving the upscale modern Japanese restaurant where a six-course omakase set costs S$360 per person, excluding taxes and fees.
In the same video, a member of the security team can be seen noticing the fan filming before gesturing at him to stop recording and shining a torch in his direction.
The fan then captioned his video: “The security guard is so rude” in Mandarin, which garnered mixed reactions from netizens.
While some commenters raised concerns about the bodyguard’s behaviour, others applauded him for fulfilling his duties, adding that Swift is entitled to her privacy.
Other diehard Swifties previously told CNA Lifestyle that the singer had mentioned in the documentary Miss Americana that she was uncomfortable with people following her. They added that fans should respect the boundaries set by the American megastar.
Swift will perform her fourth show on Mar 7. Her sixth and final show in Singapore takes place on Saturday.
