Pradhana Vizha 2024 was held at the Theatre at Mediacorp on Saturday (Feb 23), 26 awards were conferred.
Saluting the best of local Indian entertainment, the 19th edition of Singapore’s biggest Indian entertainment event featured some of the biggest local Indian celebrities such as to Surendran Ananthan, Suthasini, Vishnu M Anandh, Udaya Soundari, Saravanan Ayyavoo, Malene and Mohamed Ali.
Aathman actor Vishnu M Anandh won the Best Actor award while Kattradhu Kadhal actress Udaya Soundari aced in the Best Actress category.
Devarajan’s outstanding portrayal in Naam 2 won him the Best Performance in an Antagonist Role award.
Saravanan Ayyavoo and Mohamed Ali were crowned the Best Host – Entertainment Series and Best Host – Information Series awards respectively.
What fans weren’t expecting was the surprise award category that was revealed towards the end of the show. The inaugural All-Time Favourite Artiste award was introduced to shine a spotlight on artistes in the local Indian entertainment industry who have captured the hearts of audiences over the years.

Guest of Honour Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance, and Second Minister for National Development presented the esteemed Lifetime Achievement award to the legendary L Vijayandran. A virtuoso in both song and dance, he built a legacy with his profound contributions to the industry and continues to pave the way for aspiring performers.

The night closed to the upbeat tune of Velicham Paravum Ulangengum, a track composed by Shabir Music Asia, and performed by talented homegrown musical maestros Suthasini, Vishnu Balaji, Subashini, and Vasantham Star 2023 winner Navein Gunasekaran.
